cheat sheet for exam

I'm back again... but can't spend too much time tonight to let my mind go free. =)

I just planned to do summary for my law exam, which is held tomorrow at 9am. LOL. Well, this is not the first time this kind of things happen. I remembered when I had exam for Actuarial Techniques, we were allowed to bring in one double sided cheat sheet. But I was too lazy to do the cheat sheet, so I asked from my friend for her cheat sheet from previous year.

At around 12:01am on the exam day, I can't get through the fact that I am using other's cheat sheet in exam, so I decided to do my own cheat sheet. So, I started to make up my own cheat sheet and thank god the exam was in the afternoon. HAHA... I finished my cheat sheet by 4am that exam day (when ur adrenaline is high, u can do things as fast as superman)and I went to sleep until around 1pm. After shower and lunch, I happily bring my cheat sheet to exam hall, but maybe the cheat sheet was so useless to me, that I forgot to take it out of my bag. LOL. Things I include in my cheat sheet were never in the interest of lecturer to be as exam question, so my friend say next time before exam, he should have a look at my cheat sheet and he could ignore those things I've included in my cheat sheet >.<''

In the end, I still manage to get and use my nicely design cheat sheet during exam. By any chance, if I still have my cheat sheet, I'll post it and let u guys to have a look. But I think I gave away all my notes including the cheat sheet.

Off I go to do my law cheat sheet, but if I can't finish it, I still have my friend's cheat sheet as back up!! =)

Tuan-tuan dan puan puan,

I'm back again. Sorry I have to scribble here since I don't have my own blog. I promise to create my own blog when I am done with exam. It doesn't matter really since nobody is reading this blog anymore. I can write all I want. Wehhheee...

Today was Unilodge check out date. Everyone was busy moving out and of course there were others busy moving in too. Actually I am not staying in Unildoge but I just 'tumpang' my friend's room over the summer. That's the problem. The cari pasal receptionist memang cari pasal. She didn't allow me to renew my card yesterday because she say I don't have any authorization from the owner of the room.

"Hallloooo.... how on earth did I get the key card if my friend did not know I was staying in his room and he did not give me the permission to stay in his room". Sorry, I'm low EQ but I think she is low IQ lor...

Then I emailed my friend and asked him to email the receptionist of Unilodge. Yes, she did renew the key card for me today, BUUUUTTTT, she say she can only allow to extend the key card to work for another 4 days. The reason she gave was coz my fren did not state how long I will be staying in his room. OK, so she said she will email my fren to confirm how long I will be staying here. Now, I have to renew the key card after 4 days.

Eh... it's saturday after 4 days... how can I renew the key card when the office is close. Aduh... if this really happens, I cannot leave the room for the weekends or else I really can't get back into the room since the key card is not working. I don't want to sit in this small room (ok, at least it is better than the room I had in B&G) and I want to go out after my exam... Darnnn... Sitting in the room before exam period is suffering enough and it is not good for my back as I am ageing. LOL

Trying to think of a way to go out of the room and get back in without the key card. Maybe I can climb like spider man and enter into my room through the windows or I can open my locked room like what Harry Potter did "Alohomora",and tink... it's open.

Enough of imagination going wild!! time to get back to reality where XXX breach duty of care... XXX breach duty of contract... If everyone can do things by good faith, there's no existence of law. Then i won't have to study for law now. =)

Knock Knock... Seems like this blog for 5S2 has been abandon for quite a long time. Oh wells, actually I am supposed to be studying for Commercial Law but... it just did not work out it should be. =) It's just pathetic to study during Chinese New Year period and having exam soon is just disastrous. Let me guess who would be the first to read my post... haha....

How has everyone been?? I thought I might just do a bit of silly stuffs before I continue to day dream or 'study' because I can't get access to facebook. Holy crap... someone changed my facebook password for good so I can 'study'!! Thanks to the person that I found another place to kindly use up my time!!

In Sinchew Newspaper today, i found an article that from our beloved high school, SMK Kuching High. From this blogspot, there's a video (yea.. u can see some teachers too) which flashback my memory in my mind.

However, im at KL during that date (20 June). Wish that those ex-highian can go back to our school and help a bit :P even KHS sometimes treat us not good in some aspects, but back to origin, we all meet each others and grow up together in this 'jail' school (hahaha...).

May our Love can contribute a Light to our Mother School.

Trip to S'pore n Visit Joash, Valarie (updated)

haha, long time din blog. hope everyone stil remember me :P

last week i had a trip to Singapore, common sense of coz i oso going to visit Joash & Valarie in NUS ( National University Singapore). Thankx for Joash being my tour guide in the area of NUS, and also belanja me a cup of Orange Juice~ haha!

Valarie not much change, still digging worm in the book :P Joash oso still the same, handsome~ becoz Joash had guided me in the NUS very well, i forgot to take picture wif them. now i quite so regret and sad T.T but nvm, i still got chance visit to S'pore again.

Overall, i can sense that both of them quite enjoy the Uni life style, especially in this Top 100 Uni in the World. Jun kee, our previous KHS top student, had back to Kch so somewhat i quite miss her. She is studying at NTU. feel wanna cubik her chubby face~

Last but not least, wish them ( of coz is Joash, Valarie n Jun Kee) have a fun in S'pore and come out with a professional skills. hehehe.....

151 Swinburne students awarded more than RM400,000 in scholarships

"KUCHING – A total of 151 of students from Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus who scored impressive results in public and semester exams. were awarded a total of RM407,500 in scholarships yesterday, 7 May 2008.

Categorised as Entrance, Leadership and Merit, the scholarship awards were presented to the recipients by Professor Helmut Lueckenhausen, the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Swinburne Sarawak.

At the ceremony, 107 students who had recently enrolled for foundation and undergraduate courses with the university were awarded the Entrance scholarships.

This scholarship category is specially given to those with impressive SPM and STPM results.

Five new students, who had achieved good results and who had been actively involved in extra-curricular activities while in secondary school were presented with Leadership scholarships.

Of the five, one was formerly from Sekolah Seri Suria and two each from SMK DPHJ Abd Gapor and Chung Hua Middle School No. 1.

Meanwhile, 39 students who are pursuing undergraduate courses were awarded Merit scholarships for achieving high distinctions and distinctions at their recent semester exams.

Recipients of the Entrance and Merit scholarship categories included students from nine countries: Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Kenya, Nepal, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.

Among those who were present at the ceremony were parents and families of the scholarship recipients as well as representatives from the scholarship recipients’ former schools.

Also attending the ceremony were the heads of schools and departments of the university.

Swinburne Sarawak awards eligible students with scholarships each semester and scholarship application is currently open for its July and August intake."

My 600 ringgit sony player. . .

died on me last week. Just after a year of using it. Damn it. Partly because it was my fault. Very hard to explain. I didn't drop it or anything. Lets just say for me to get sound out of the thing, I have to press very hard on my headphone wire.

Then today I got a replacement. The Sandisk Sansa Clip 2gb for 106 australian dollars ( you convert la. I dunno the exchange rate ).

Initially I wanted to get the Iriver E100

The 4gb one sells for 113 dollars here. It plays video, has voice recording, expandable memory, fm tuner. Almost all of the things you need man. A bargain right? But why the hell didn't I get it?

Well the reviews for the iriver isn't all that good. The review for the sansa clip was very good. The reviews claimed that the sansa clip has the best sound ever compared to other mp3 players ( but only if you use some pretty expensive headphones with it otherwise you wont be able to tell the difference ).

I'm currently using KOSS headphones ( i bought it in Kuching for 180 ringgit ).

It's dying on me as well. But I'm getting my mom to bring a new one over for me. I think its the cheapest but fcking BEST headphone's I've ever put on my ears. The nearest competitor I'm guessing would be the 600 ringgit+ sennheiser ones. How would I know? Because there's this girl in my course, who saw me using these and agreed with me that these were the fcking best, but she ended up getting the sennheiser ones because the KOSS one wasn't "fashionable" enough. hahaha.

My verdict on the Sansa clip? The bass on the sony is actually more powerful. But it seems that the sound is clearer on the sansa. Well, I can't really tell the difference actually haha. My headphones aren't that expensive enough to get the maximum out of the player. The cnet reviewers used 500 dollar headphones on it.

-hair loss
-FINALLY! The whole shit is stable !!! IT STANDS!!! (with this this that that etc material + various calcs)
-ok 1 of 20 complete, 19 more to go.

And that's in office work. w00t we have field work to get urself sweaty wearing safety helm and boots and gettin all high on mud - yea baby. zz

After everything's finish, most of the time the architects get all the credit for designin this FHUOO thing and the $$. Whilst eng people get ignored and if the building/bridge/wadever fails/falls we go to jail.

What myth do you guys have about studying overseas?

Before I came here I didn't really think much about living overseas. It's just like a 'wham bam, thank you ma'am' sort of situation for me. It all happened so fast.

I've been in Melbourne for almost 3 years already. It feels more like home now.

Every year I have a different perspective of this place.

I remember the first year I came, I had no idea what Melbourne looks like. The only glimpse of it was when I was on the plane and I saw some pictures of it in the magazine. Even during the first year, I did not really explore much of Melbourne, it was basically go to school and come home sort of situation. Then second year here, I slowly explored the city and all its small lane ways. I got more familiar with my surroundings. Now third year, I hope to explore more of the surrounding areas of the city.

Ok i am talking BS again. hahahah...... I would encourage you guys to go travel. Not just for a week or 2. I mean really really stay there for at least a month. You'll truly learn things that you'd never thought you'd learn

How many of you have always wondered what people study in architecture school? How many of you think that all we do in school is just learn how to draw and shit? Well, we DO NOT just learn to draw and shit. We learn about the world, culture, people and shit.

Nah, I'm not going into that topic. If you're interested, you could ask me.

What I wanted to share with you guys is one of the lessons that I learnt that I find quite interesting.

I learnt that there is no such thing as an absolute randomness. Or rather, I do not believe in absolute randomness. I believe that things that may seem random, may not be random at all, they might be affected by some other factors.

Ok this is absolute bullshit. I'm just bored.

Architecture school is fun but stressful. Its not like all the other school where you have to study a lot. Read tons and tons of books for research. Well, it's not like I don't do research. It's just that my research can come from anything, be it just by watching movie, listening to music, basically just doing what I like best. ( *it only applies to my design subject, I still have to read books for theories and shit* ).

Why am I telling you all this?

It's because I think most of you don't know what it's like. Well I didn't. I sort of applied to do architecture by impulse without knowing what I was up for. It's like taking a blind leap of faith into an unknown territory.

Now, I'm already in my second year. I really enjoy what I'm doing, even if it kills me. I enjoy doing work in uni till 2-3am. I enjoy playing around with glue. I enjoy the freedom to express who I really am in class. You can't do that with maths or statistics now, can you?

I'm not here to brag or whatever. If you're studying engineering or going to study engineering, you'll grow to hate architects. Mainly because we have fun doing what we're doing, and you're working your ass off to make sure our fun doesn't get out of hand.

For me, time flies really fast. It's second year for me already then after next year I'd have to get out of uni to do some work experience.

I sort of feel that when we reach our twenties, everything seems to be moving very fast.

Hello, Sean here.

Most of us are turning 20 soon. Have you thought about the plans for the near future? Getting married and having children doesn't count.

Have you thought about venturing somewhere else to pursue your dreams? Or would you rather just find a stable job near home, find a partner and settle down?

These are the choices that we all have to make very very soon. Sooner than you might think.

Personally, I think its to early to think about settling down. The twenties are the beginning of our youth. Dream big and do big before its too late.

By being too late I mean when you reach your 30s. You don't want to start a family too late either. It's going to be such a burden supporting you're children when they're just starting uni and you're already getting ready to retire.

Don't be afraid to take risk. Most importantly, you are in control of your own future. Don't let others tie you down.

I have no idea why I'm posting this here. Hahaha. Well at least I'm keeping the blog alive.

C'mon people, lets all share crap with each other.

I'd appreciate it if you guys post some pictures and news of Kuching. I've not heard any news of home for a very very long time hahaha. Shit. I haven't called home for weeks as well. :-P
